Sorry, Kids! Survey Project
What will your legacy be for your descendants? Not everyone will leave behind a fortune. But each of us will leave behind the impacts of our beliefs and actions.
Imagine fifty years into the future. Your descendants are part of your legacy. They are sitting at the dinner table and your great- (or great-great-) grandchildren are asking their parents, “What were they thinking? Why didn’t grown-ups back then do something to stop things from getting so bad?”
If you could time travel, then you would be able to defend yourself by explaining the choices that your generations made in the early 21st century. As it is, your grandchildren will likely throw you under the bus and humble-blame you by mumbling something about how times were different back then.
So, basically, all your descendants are going to hear from you is, “Sorry Kids! Sorry for the mess we left you.”
Some legacy.
Don’t let that happen. Document your beliefs and intentions as part of the legacy you leave behind. The younger you are, the more important it is to capture for posterity the beliefs of older members of your family.
These surveys are the next best thing to time travel.
